General Information

Welcome to UMass Boston Abroad Office hosted by AbroadOffice.net. To begin exploring the opportunities available through this service, you must first create an account by providing us with a valid email address and password using the Create Account link on the left sidebar.

Please note that these are NOT your regular UMass Boston ID and password – the ID (email address) and password you provide are what you will use to log in to the site and your account, in the future.

With the goal of furthering international and transnational education at UMass Boston, The Office of International and Transnational Affairs (OITA) is a valuable on-campus resource.
If you are a UMass Boston student looking to study abroad, the staff in the Office of Study Abroad & International Exchange Programs in OITA can help you. Studying abroad is an opportunity that everyone should have. It's important to plan academically, financially, and to research your eligibility and options for study abroad well in advance.

We can help you to figure out what program is best for you academically and personally, provide you with useful information and resources, and guide and support you through the entire application process and beyond. First, we ask you to do some preliminary exploring and thinking about your goals and options. We've also created a checklist for the study abroad planning & approval process (download here).
